Item Description
2x6.5x16" box. Copyrighted 1945 Flintwood Limited/Toronto Canada. Illustration on front includes stylized tanks. Back gives directions "To Get Gun Sound Hold Slightly Away From Mouth And Blow/To Get Different Tones/Slide Blue Tube In And Out." Box is missing one inside end flap. Other is off, but included. Slight creases, separation of end flaps, still displays Fine. Gun is made entirely of paper/cardboard with scope and barrel being finished with glossy red/black/blue paper. Movable paper valve inside barrel end vibrates when air passes through the 1.5" dia. chamber resulting in a ratta-tat/machine gun sound. Tone can vary by changing the length of the 16" long sliding inner tube. All components including the die-cut handle are made of cardboard/paper due to the limited supply of metal which was being used in the war effort. Tiny color rubs along edges (not offensive). Sight and barrel remains glossy. Gun works. Exc.
