Item Description
2.5x6x5" tall box. Extensive text including "Save, And Make Him Squeal/He Squeals Every Time You Save A Coin/Make Him Squeal/For Victory Buy United States War Savings Bonds Stamps." A Tom Lamb design. Extensive bottom panel text explains "Make Adolf The Pig Bank Work For Your Country/Save Every Coin You Can Spare/Your Country Needs Your Help/Buy United States War Savings Bonds & Stamps...Save For Victory, For Security, For Happiness." Box shows considerable wear, but is complete with all attached flaps. Box is just Good but extremely rare. Composition figural pig retains its bright yellow/black coloring. Text in script along top reads "Save For Victory." Make him squeal. Bank is designed with small cardboard bellows in the bottom. Designed for bellows to make a squealing sound when pig is turned upside-down. Not functioning as usual. Tiny, barely noticeable flake at coin slot, o/w overall Exc. From the Hake Collection.
