Item Description
7x11x7" tall Rawlings box holds Rawlings official Billy Cannon football. Football has his name with image of a cannon firing a football in the center. Bold 4.5" signature in silver felt tip pen reads "Billy '20' Cannon/Heisman Trophy 1959." Ball shows wear from use (prior to signature). VG. Box shows light handling wear. VG. Bold signature Exc. Comes with "Collectors Showcase Of America" ticket stub. Used when owner had ball signed. Cannon played professional football from 1960-1970. Cannon later became an orthodontist and then served time in federal prison for counterfeiting US currency. His Heisman trophy is now displayed at T.J. Ribs restaurant in Baton Rouge, LA where Cannon has eaten for free since 1986 when he sold the trophy to the restaurant. An interesting character/career. Comes with Hake's COA.
