Item Description
7.25x30x4.5" tall wooden base. 28" tall total height to top of center figure. c. 1930s. Text is repeated on both sides. Base and figure are wood. Painted wood figures made of .75" thick board (not plywood) depict a sledder, a skater and a happy, waving boy. Each figure has a different 8" tall painted plaster head. Rounded heads are detailed with eyes, eyebrows, cheeks, ears and painted hair. Backs of each head is unpainted, possibly where caps were attached for display. Each head sits on 2" long neck that holds opening at bottom of head into place. Display is designed to be viewed and enjoyed from all sides. Great Deco design. Wonderful expressions. Light surface dust. Exc. First we've seen.
