An exceptional group of china which was frequently used by movie theaters in the early 30s as a giveaway to encourage attendance. In addition to the typical trademark on the underside of a pie-eyed Mickey walking and waving his hand with the words "Mickey Mouse Trade Mark Registered Authorized By Walter E. Disney Made In Bavaria," quite a few of the pieces in this lot have an additional green logo picturing a lion on a shield with the word "Bavaria" above and the company name "Schumann" below. In this group are 3 cups 2.5" picturing Minnie with sheet music. On one, a small area of black is off one ear but o/w all 3 are N. Mint. There are 9 cup saucers each 4.75" and each with 4 transfer images of Mickey, Minnie and cats. No saucer has the exact same 4 images. Three of the 9 saucers do have one transfer with a face that became distorted in the application. However, in the group of 9, six essentially remain N. Mint to Mint. There are also 6 small plates each 6-1/8". Five of the six have a different center image and the one that is a duplicate has small variations in the outer edge images. One of the six has a 1/16" rim flake but o/w all are N. Mint to Mint. There are also 5 large plates each 7.5" with these 5 images matching the 5 different images of the smaller plates. All of the large plates are N. Mint to Mint. An outstanding group both in terms of quantity and condition.
