Item Description
5x8.25x2.75" tall tin litho container done in combination of black, red and yellow paint plus brilliant gold luster for the faces, hands, shoes and several other small accent areas. This 1930s tin was made for Disch Ltd., a sweets factory located in Othmarsingen, Switzerland. Gebr. Hoffmann in Thun made the tin. All of these names appear on the back panel along with "Par Aut. De Walt Disney Mickey-Mouse." The hinged lid features an outdoor scene with smiling sun peering over the edge of a hill as Mickey and Minnie play cricket with a small Mickey standing between them holding a flower. The 4 side panels are decorated in the same colors and altogether 7 Mickeys are depicted, 1 Minnie, 2 Plutos, 4 baby mice and 1 rabbit. Couple of widely scattered tiny rubs, mostly around the side edges of the hinged lid. Overall extremely clean and extremely Fine. Rare.
