Item Description
6.25x13x4.25" tall. c. 1890s. 5x11" paper label inside lid shows 11 Brownie-like characters helping craftsmen with their woodworking. The label reads "The Boys Star Tool Chest." Label has various chips/rubs, mostly around margin and hinge areas. Not affecting Brownie images. Label is somewhat darkened with age but remains VG. The chest is well made with finger joints and black painted trim on the top and bottom. Hinges are old replacements. Also included are two saws, a wood plane, hammer and ruler. All child size, but usable. Box and contents Fine. First we've seen.
