Item Description
1930s. This is a two-sided brochure intended for store owners which is displayed fully open as an 18x25" poster. The poster is in a 24x31" mat with foam core backing so the black and white graphics on the paper's reverse can't be seen but the beautiful color graphic side is the primary focus. Top of the poster reads "Here Is How To Bring More Customers Into Your Store." Beneath this are 7 images plus images of 4 insert cards all related to the bread selling program which featured color cards which included a recipe and the booklet in which they were to be mounted. At the bottom of the poster Mickey exclaims "Last Year I Helped Sell $35,000,000 Worth Of Merchandise And Now I Am Ready To Help You - Mickey Mouse - I'll Be Seeing You." The sheet shows a little of the original brochure fold lines and a very small amount of bleed-through from the graphics on the other side but overall the sheet is exceptionally bright and clean displaying N. Mint. Also included is a 2x18" waxed paper band that was once inserted with a bread loaf. This reads "Hey Kids Follow The Adventures Of Mickey Mouse - A New Picture Card Wrapped Every Day In Every Loaf - Save These Bands" with a list showing how many waxed bands were needed to get price reductions in the purchase of "A Beautiful Mickey Mouse Wrist Watch." For 350 bands the watch was free. The issuing firm is Cote Bros. Inc., Manchester, N.H. This band is N. Mint. The second 2x19" band says "Hey Kids Follow The Adventures Of Mickey Mouse - A New Picture Card Wrapped Every Day In Every Loaf." This one has a tiny area of tanning on its very bottom edge but is also essentially N. Mint. Three rare pieces.
