5.75x9-5/8" with 312 pages book written by "Dragnet" star Jack Webb. Published by Prentice Hall Inc., 1958. Book deals with Webb's insight into various police departments around the country. Signed in blue ink on first page inside front cover. Dust jacket shows moderate wear and is VG. .5x1.5" area of moisture staining bleeds through dust jacket onto front cover of book, o/w book is Exc. with N. Mint pages. Comes with 5x8.25" Western Union telegram to Los Angeles Herald express reporter Jimmy Starr from Prentiss Hall Chairman of the Board Richard Prentiss Ettinger. Telegram is invitation for book reception in honor of publication of book "The Badge." Dated Oct. 9, 1958. Folded with ink notation at top. 1/8" tear at left-hand margin. Fine. Comes with Hake's COA.
