Item Description
Cel has been matted to 8-7/8x11-7/8" and shows cartoon image of Jay Ward, producer of such shows as Rocky & Bullwinkle, Dudley Do-Right and George of the Jungle among others. Ward wears a Sgt. Pepper-esque outfit with a large letter "J" on his hat as he holds a "Bullwinkle Award For Valor" trophy. Image was used on Ward stationery and brochures, also, a similar image was featured on a specially-produced Jay Ward watch which we offered in our last auction. Publicity cel came from Irv Handlesman, an agent for Ward. Mint.
