Item Description
Large and impressive 28.25x41" linen-backed poster for the 1926 Pat Sullivan cartoon. Poster by Acme Litho Co. of New York City. Poster has "Educational Film Exchanges - Educational Pictures" banner at bottom and notation of being produced by Bijou Films Inc. Poster features nice, large image of a laughing Felix, sporting a toothy grin as "Gloom, Trouble, Hard Luck And Annoyance" loom in bkg. Cartoon deals with Felix wasting away due to lack of laughter and endeavoring to get a laugh. Great graphics. Poster has been professionally framed and linen-mounted with some typical and minor color restoration along fold creases and along 5.5" tear in upper left-hand corner. These touch-ups are not that noticeable and are only seen under close inspection. .25" chip to top center margin. Fine. As mounted, displays VF. From the Gary Selmonsky Collection.
