Auction 193 - Part II
Item numbers 800 though 2307 in auction 193
Item Description
4.5" tall painted composition from the 1930s. Dixon produced two similar Mickey holders and this is the fully dimensional variety marked on the reverse "No. 1265." Comes complete with slightly used but 7" long pencil with silver lettering "Dixon/Mickey Mouse/©Walt Disney." The pencil holder has a small chip off the top and left side of Mickey's nose but appearance is still quite nice and a repair would be a very simple matter. The only other defect is a tiny 1/8" dot of orange gone from between his shoes. Condition is really quite superior to most examples overall. Also included is a 5.5x7" stiff cardboard store display sign showing Mickey as if calling out and with bold text "School Sale/Have You Seen The New Mickey Mouse Pencil Box?" Sign is N. Mint.
