Item Description
8.5x11" die-cut cardboard countertop display with easel back. Display depicts an over-sized version of an example Mickey Mouse ring. The display is complete with 10 sterling silver rings, each with adjustable band. The retail price is noted as $1.50 each. These same rings were also issued with certain 1948 wrist watch sets. The rings come with two different style tops and bands, either a square format or rounded. This display holds 2 round and 3 square Donalds and 2 round and 3 square Mickeys. These are all the variety with luminous material on the top surface bkg. although as is typical, the material has essentially evaporated and lost its power to glow in the dark. However, paint on the raised figures of Mickey and Donald is nearly 100% complete on all and the bands have nice bright luster with only trivial tarnish. The display has a small area of tan stain and a 1" circular spot located on the left side at the center going inward about 1.5" and downward about 4". The discoloration is noticeable but not particularly dark and everything else is Exc. An impressive 1940s store display.
