Item Description
7x8x4" deep metal box by General Steel Wares, 1960s. Front and back panels feature two different hockey scenes. Top is overhead view of a hockey rink. Right, left and bottom panels feature different images of referees giving signals which are "Washout, Holding, Cross Checking, Elbowing, Tripping, High Sticking." Interior has about 40% of the white paint missing where thermos once laid against the bottom panel. Front has trace of rim wear, mostly at corners w/thin streaks of bare metal. Back panel has heavier rim wear w/trace of bare metal around entire edge. Both front and back panels have a number of tiny indents although only visible in reflected light, couple of minor scratches. Band shows only small traces of wear. Box remains totally bright and clean w/very glossy finish. Despite defects, front panel still displays about Fine, back panel is VG and band is about VF. This is a very rare lunch box and the only example we've ever offered.
