Item Description
5.75" tall prototype for a 1998 figure made by Middle Earth Toys, a subsidiary of Toy Vault. Toy Vault was founded in 1998 and Lord of the Rings was one of its first licenses (prior to the film trilogy and the huge success it became).
They produced 5 different variants of Gandalf. This advance painted hardcopy was sent to Tomart as a gift from Middle Earth Toys for promoting the line in Action Figure Digest. Figure has fabric outfit, hat, staff, sword, scabbard, belt, food pouch and tobacco pouch. No pipe. Slightest aging. Exc. Unique. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
