Item Description
Presidential portraits lithographed on highly-embossed tin miniature picture frames about 1.5x1.75". Seventeen of twenty-two presidents through Cleveland. Missing Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Polk and Lincoln. Each has president's name and his order, for example, "Geo. Washington 1st President." Jackson has wear over face and faint image. Others have small scattered scratches but all images are strong and clearly visible. Buchanan matches but is printed on paper and applied to frame. Earliest small sized portrait set we've seen. Tin reverses are blank. Rare.
