Corners have black paper seal impressed with symbols and gold seal accented by actual purple fabric ribbon. Gold center of seal darkened some over the years since 1926. Like the members of many fraternal societies in America in 1926, the Klan members advanced in rank. On this one "Leon L. Loudon." "Having Served Faithfully, Honestly And Loyally As A Probationary Klansman..." He advances to "Knights Kamellia (Primary Order of Knighthood)." Below is serial number 22787. Lower left is seal and "Imperial Kligrapp." Signing in green ink was "N.N. Furney." One of the last documents to bear his signature as certificate is dated "First Day Of The Fifth Month"...1926 equaling May 1, 1926. One week later, failing health removed Furney and beginning May 8, 1926 (through March 1927) documents are signed by J.E. MacQuinn. Opposite corner has black seal of "Imperial Wizard" and green ink signature of "H.W. Evans." Some light tan marks on outer 1" of margin and small ripple on bottom left corner. Document was framed for decades so very well preserved and comes with its plain, but original cardboard backing. Other than small dark area at center of the gold seal, the certificate will frame and mat to N. Mint/Mint.
