Item Description
1.25" with gold text surrounding raised dome center portrait. The paint has 4 extremely minor 1/16" or smaller marks but is exceptionally clean and glossy making it one of the best examples we've seen. The piece is constructed much like a celluloid which followed in 1896. The front litho segment has a tin reverse with attached 1" horizontal safety pin-style fastener. Reverse features embossed lettering "American Tinplate Made By Norton Bros. Chicago." Most examples show much more paint wear. Rarely seen this glossy.
