Item Description
Few artists could pack as much into a cover as Alex Schomburg. He usually packed as much as he could into every square inch of the canvas he was working on. The main focus of this issue’s cover is the Human Torch and his sidekick, Torchy, but if you look around, Schomburg has created a whirlwind of activity. The cover is packed with soldiers and scientists all working towards stopping the Torch. The laboratory itself is still another character in the frenetic cover scene. It is full of elaborate equipment and strange bottles. Many of those bottles are labeled gas. Near the ceiling hangs a sign that says it all, “Testing Room”. Schomburg has created another classic. The pages are white. The book is CGC-certified NM 9.4. This copy is the highest graded copy that CGC has seen. It is recognized as part of the San Francisco pedigree.
