Among the best 1896 jugate designs, this beautiful 1.25" was issued for "National Wheelmens Club" and features a red bicycle wheel spoke design behind the portraits of McKinley and Hobart. The celluloid covering used on this button was very susceptible to yellowing and cracking. This example has near invisible 1/32" tiny cello crack above Hobart's head. All else is outstanding and this is an exceedingly minor flaw on a button almost always seen with much more severe defects. Perfect centering, high gloss, no stain.
