Item Description
Each is 1.75" real photo. Both have Rockwood photo copyright on front with National Equipment/W&H backpapers. Small wear on Platt backpaper. Cello is Exc., displays Mint. 1.5" scratch in reflected light across Croker's face, but displays Exc. with normal viewing. Republican Platt pushed the Greater New York Bill in 1898 to create NYC and championed TR for VP ticket with McKinley. Democrat Croker controlled Tammany Hall in the 1890s and engineered the election of Robert Van Wyck as the first mayor of the five borough "greater" New York.
