Item Description
Collectors know that EC was not the only house doing incredible science fiction during the early fifties. Avon Publishing certainly gave them a good run for their money with this title. Avon was no stranger to the scene either. They published Eerie Comics #1 in 1947, so they knew early on that the market was looking for something besides superheroes. When they decided to try science fiction, they went all out. The cover, by Everett Raymond Kinstler, is packed with action. A non-descript hero is protecting a beautiful woman from the amazing two headed monster. While non-specific, the background places them on either another planet or a devastated Earth. Either way, it is a two-headed monster! The book is absolutely packed with artistic giants. First and foremost are Frank Frazetta and Wally Wood, both of whom went on to help other publishers with their science fiction books. Others include Joe Orlando, Roy G. Krenkel, and Al Williamson. The book also features an appearance by Malu Slave Girl Princess. The pages are cream to off-white. The book is CGC-certified VF 8.0.
