Item Description
This issue is notorious for an injury to the eye panel. It is exactly the type of book that the Senate investigation into comics was created to investigate during the fifties. With superheroes no longer a viable property for comics, publishers had to explore other genres. Horror was among the hottest styles, so it was only natural that Charlton would have tried their hand at that type of book. This title is one of Charlton’s earliest comics. With issue #18 it becomes the Blue Beetle. This issue features art by Dick /Ayers, Joe Schuster, and Sam Moskowitz. The pages are white. The book is CGC-certified VF/NM 9.0 by CGC.
