Item Description
The Flash was the very first All-American hero to win his own title. He was so popular that within months of his first appearance in Flash Comics, copycat speedsters quickly began to pop up in other comics. All-American’s sister company DC even copied him when they introduced Johnny Quick in More Fun Comics in 1941. Since the Flash first appeared in an anthology comic named Flash Comics, they couldn’t give him another book with the same name. To differentiate this book from the anthology, they titled it All- Flash Comics. A charter member of the Justice Society of America, the importance of the Flash in comic history cannot be underestimated. He is one of the giants of the Golden Age. This issue features art by Martin Naydel and a story by Gardner Fox. The pages are white. The book is CGC-certified as NM 9.4. According to their census, the book is tied with one other copy as the second highest graded copy they have seen. This copy is also recognized as part of the San Francisco pedigree.
