Item Description
4x5x.75" deep cardboard "Movie-Viewer" unit with crank to advance the cellophane filmstrip visible through the die-cut "screen" which has a glass cover. 1930s marked "Made In Japan." Paper label on front is designed like a stage with curtains and at bottom is the orchestra depicted as if playing music to go along with the silent film. This features Mickey on piano, Felix on upright bass, Horace Horsecollar on violin and Betty Boop singing. Filmstrip features images of boats, ships, airplanes, dirigible. Bkg. scene is of a snow-capped mountain. Works. Front panel has trace of edge/corner tip wear with some tiny surface paper rubs. VF. A very interesting item with multi-character appeal. The only example we know of.
