1.25" pinback with purple image of silent film hearthrob Valentino with name at top and "Born 1895 At Rest 1926" text at bottom. 2.25" long purple ribbon with gold "In Memory" text refers to Valentino's early death Aug. 23, 1926. As news of Valentino's passing spread, nationwide mourning ensued. 80,000 mourners at his NY funeral almost brought about a riot. Pinback has a few pinpoint age dots on rim at 11 o'clock. Exc.
