Item Description
7.25x10-3/8" comic cover proof for issue #111, the first issue with "Blue Bolt Weird Tales Of Terror" title which ran for only 2 issues before changing to "Blue Bolt Weird Tales." 1951. Proof includes title of stories "The Face Of Death, Thorns of the Devil, Monstrous Madmen, The Space Scare, Cremation, The Thing of Terror." Great horror images including central image of werewolf character, 2 hooded and pointing figures, 3 skulls, hissing snake, devil as well as disembodied floating eyes in the darkness and drowning hands as well as symbol logos for price and issue number. Cover proofs were sent to Cole by printer to get his approval to print comic book. Cover proofs are of the highest quality with no printing on reverse. Light corner bumps. Colors are bright and bold. N. Mint.
