Item Description
7-1/8x10.5" comic cover proof for "Gasoline Alley" #1 published by Star Publications in Sep.-Oct., 1950. Proof shows famous Gasoline Alley characters Uncle Walt, Auntie Blossom, Judy, Nina, Clovia and Chipper, Corky and Hope, Sarge, Wilmer and Skeezix. Main panel art by L.B. Cole, who has signed in blue ink under his art signature. Cover proofs were sent to Cole by printer to get his approval to print comic book. Cover proofs are of the highest quality with no printing on reverse. N. Mint.
