5.5x5.5" tall figural painted and glazed ceramic mug depicts famous Academy Award-winning actress' head as mug. c. 1940s. The handle is figure reminiscent of famous Oscar statuette as it is painted in a brilliant gold luster. Crawford's likeness is caricature and prominently features her large doe-like eyes. Bottom is stamped "Hollywood Mugs" by Barclay. Text also includes "Hand Decorated" as paint scheme differs slightly from previous example of this mug we have offered (auction #184). Tiny chip on tip of Crawford's nose and slight luster loss to "Oscar's" shoulders, o/w mug is N. Mint. Extremely well-designed.
