Auction #182 - Part II
Item numbers 1500-3431 in auction 182
Item Description
This is the companion piece to #3397, also the version without moving eyes. This box features image of Andy on the telephone which is repeated on all four side panels. All flaps are here and intact except for top flap which is loose w/large moisture stain. One side panel has a pair of .5" punctures o/w side panels show very little wear, box remains tight and clean. Aside from the noted defects the box panels still display VF. This toy's outfit is quite different from the version w/moving eyes. The moving eye version features a yellow hat and blue jacket whereas on this toy coloring matches that of the Amos toy. Depicted w/cigar in mouth and wears badge reading "Andrew Brown F.A.T.C. President." Toy has same action as #3397 and also works. Tiny scattered paint nicks, mostly on body where arms rub against it during operation. Totally bright and glossy. VF+. Rarely found boxed. Provenance of Philip Samuels collection.
