Auction #182 - Part II
Item numbers 1500-3431 in auction 182
Item Description
This is the smallest of several versions of this doll, 6" tall w/painted composition head and wood jointed body. On chest is decal reading "Jeep" w/1935 King Features Syndicate copyright. Decal has just one tiny 1/8" scratch on bottom edge. Body has trace of dust soiling, several of the tail segments have a minor 1/8" to .25" hairline but all remain intact. Head has dust soiling and some scattered hairline craze lines but only a couple of tiny paint flakes. For the most part, the hairlines are only noticeable when viewed closely. Still a very nice all original example, these are usually found w/restoration. VF. Provenance of Philip Samuels collection.
