Item Description
This is the largest 1930s Mickey bisque that was produced. He stands 8.75" tall and both arms are movable. "Mickey Mouse" is incised on front edge of base while Disney copyright is incised on the back. Complete w/original string tail. Each side edge of pants has 1" hairline paint rub where the movable arms rub against it but not visible when hands are positioned as they should be. Has just a couple of tiny scattered spots of paint wear w/1/8" flake off each front corner. Front of legs have a bit of overpaint caused at time of production and at this time they were touched up in black which has partially but not totally hidden the overpainting. This is really only noticeable when viewed closely and appearance remains exceptionally bright and clean, as nice as any example we've ever seen. Still a N. Mint example of this bisque which is a key piece essential to any advanced collection of 1930s Disneyana. Provenance of Philip Samuels collection.
