Item Description
Large and impressive 7x8x10.5" tall beautifully painted and glazed figurine from the Pinocchio series (see Geppetto #1766. Underside has Zaccagnini markings including series number "W80." This piece is also c. 1947. Left tip of mustache has been re-glued, hairline is visible. There is a 1/8" flake on forehead between his eyebrows, each eyebrow has a tiny glaze flake as well. Few other scattered tiny glaze flakes really only visible when viewed closely. Figurine remains totally bright and glossy, these minor defects could be easily hidden with professional paint touch-up. Still an incredibly impressive figurine as is, displays VF. All the pieces by this company are rare and this is only the second Stromboli we've seen in our 41 years.
