Auction 194 - Part II
Item numbers 881 though 2534 in auction 194
Item Description
8x9x5.25" deep box contains 6.5" tall by 8.5" deep supple rubber helmet with great futuristic design and detailing. Unmarked with exception of "S-23" on back of helmet. Snaps below each ear hole for strap with chin guard, which is included. 1950s by Mishawaka Rubber & Woolen Mfg. Co. Metallic silver in color (we've also seen this in red). Box has heavy moisture damage and 1" split to one corner as well as three 1" splits to lid, 2 having been repaired with tape. Surface paper is rippled from moisture with several cracks. Good but box retains its shape. Box is rare and this is the first example we've seen. Helmet has scattered light aging but is still totally pliable. VF.
