3.75x5.5x3" deep box contains 5.5" tall "Chimpanzee" manufactured in the early 1950s by Minco of Japan. Box remains tight and clean with some light aging. VF/Exc. Celluloid hands and face with tin feet and body covered by real rabbit fur. Figure has built-in key and works. Fur remains intact and aside from light wear around mouth, toy is Exc. Scarce. See previous item #2161 which is of almost exact design with box lid featuring the same art with a different colored bkg. Only toy name has changed. Scarce.
