Item Description
We are offering ONLY the medal but here is what we know from example in Auction #192. 3.5x6.5" envelope with 1962 postal cancelation, sent from Festus, Mo. with "Gene Autry Trail And Camp" return address. Came with four-page folder offering camping, hiking, Boy Scout advancement activities with bio of Autry. Folded as issued. 2.75" badge reading "Character Counts/Gene Autry Trail" came attached on original 2.25x4" cellophane-wrapped card. Badge has arrowhead image in center with Missouri state shape and Autry's "Flying A" symbol at lower corners. Badge was earned by hiking entire length of trail (6 miles). Medal, the only thing being sold, is N. Mint.
