Painted cast metal. Made in England, 1950s. Boxes typically 3.5x2.5x1" deep each hold from 2 to 4 pieces. Boxes have varying degrees of wear. Most have creases, one has missing end flap, overall Fine. Each is marked on the side "Contents" and they include as follows: "The Model Home Farm "series which have "Britains Farm" text on one side of the box plus illustration with a goose with 2 eggs, farmyard scenes on the reverse. These include the following: Set No. 5008, one milkmaid, one cow, one calf; Set No. 5006, one shepherd, one ram, two sheep, one sheep and lamb together; No. 5032 one man, one roller. Second are the "Zoological" series sets which show a giraffe on one side with text "Britains Zoo" and zebra and antelope on the other are as follows: No. 9004, one kangaroo, two baby kangaroos; No. 9006, one baby camel, one Malay Tapir; No. 9009, one bull and one stork. All figures are bright, glossy and N. Mint with the exception of the cow from the milkmaid-cow and calf set who has paint nick on one side at chin and paint nick and small hole above right leg. A nice grouping.
