Item Description
9x17.5x1.5". ©1930 All-Fair Inc. Complete title is "The Novel Game Of Stop And Shop/A Race For The Baby's Milk." Scattered light box wear, mostly along edges, surface paper rubs. 2" edge split and corner split at top left. Box Fine. Inserts serve as the gameboard and includes an attached spinner. There are two rows of illustrated food products plus matching die-cut food piece that fits into a slot on the front edge of each row. These die-cut pieces include animal crackers, sugar, bread, hot dogs, potatoes, etc. There are different colored cardboard disks representing money and the spinner "Today's Prices." Has about 52 of 80 disks and each has a penciled number added by original owner. 16 other die-cut products are complete. Object is to buy the most groceries for the lowest sum of money. Board insert shows scattered light aging but still bright and quite colorful. Insert and die-cut product pieces are overall VF. Nice game. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
