Item Description
This very large premium ring came from Quaker Cereals, 1951. Base is brass with adjustable bands picturing Quaker Man logo on one side while other side shows mouth of cannon shooting out cereal grains. Mounted on top is a black metal frame with a bright red plastic segment that surrounds mint silver luster aluminum cannon barrel. Also issued with brass barrel. Cannon barrel has spring-loaded plunger and when pulled out, objects can be dropped into barrel and then plunger is released to launch them. An outstanding N. Mint example with brilliant all-over luster. Box has most of mailing label, large instruction sheet 8.5x8.5" but order blank is neatly trimmed off. Side with cannon ring instruction is clean. Side offering "6 Western Guns" has one panel tanned where it laid against carton. Rarely seen with instructions and box.
