Item Description
6 legal pad pages, 3 of which are double-sided, written in black ink. Rambling letter chaotic in nature, reads in part "ALONE Is A Curse When A Brains Mind Was Set By Or Raised By Discontent. When I'm With Myself, I Got No Problems Other Than The Ones I Make 4 Myself. I Me. I Can Relate & I Do Have 50 Years Of Punishment And Lock Up Places Boys Schools, Reform Schools, Prisons, Jails, Nut Wards & Death Rows So I Know Suffering To The Point Of Compleet & I've Seen A LOT Of Men In Their Minds All The Whys & What Fors - & The BIGIST One Of The BIGIST TROUBLE Of Man Is The DISCONTENT." This ranting lends and interesting insight into Manson's mind. Another noteworthy area is where Manson writes the word "COOL" making the "OO" eyes of a smiley face. Last page of letter has another smiley face and large, distinct signature. Letter was sent to someone named "Juss" (we assume this to be Manson's cousin) from prison where Manson is still serving a life sentence for his involvement in the 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders. Folded twice as mailed. Comes in original mailing envelope with Manson's prison return address. Postally issued Sep. 23, 1997. Folded and Fine. Comes with Hake's COA.
