Very Truly Yours, W. McKinley." Letter was to L. Clark Davis, Esq. the Managing Editor of "The Ledger" newspaper of Philadelphia, PA. Given date, we believe McKinley's "Letter Of Acceptance" to be his acceptance of the Republican nomination in the 1896 presidential election. Letter is folded twice as mailed and lightly aged.
