Illustrated by M.L. Blumenthal. This extensive well-written satire of Teddy Roosevelt covers many aspects of his past, present and future ambition of returning to the White House. The story is done entirely in verse and includes four "books" (chapters). Characters and issues include Joe Cannon, Johnson, Aldridge, Penrose, Taft, Sherman, the trusts, the Vanderbilts, Tammany to mention a very few. An interesting and amusing read full of political and historical references. The illustrations depict TR in various Grecian settings, following the Odyssey theme. Light wear to hardcover. Fine.
