11x19" frame contains matted color photo of an elder Truman and 5.25x6.75" letter on "Harry S. Truman - Independence, Missouri" stationery dated Apr. 13, 1960. Typed letter reads: "Dear Mr. Marcus: I Appreciate Your Letter Of March 2 Very Much But I Am Not In A Position To Attend The Meeting To Which You Refer In October. I Regret It Very Much. Sincerely Yours, Harry Truman." Letter was to M. Jay Marcus, Vice President of Independent Students Organization of University of Connecticut. Letter is folded as mailed and has 2 small age spots that do not affect Truman's signature, which remains distinct and bold. Exc. Comes with Hake's COA.
