Item Description
20x30" poster by "Strobridge Lith. Co." essentially Mint and professionally framed. Wonderful color and design makes this the number one poster for many collectors. In addition to the top text "The Issue-1900/Liberty/Justice/Humanity" the other four slogans are "No Crown Of Thorns/No Cross Of Gold/Equal Rights To All/Special Priviledges To None." A multitude of symbols include Liberty Bell, Democratic rooster, farmer's plow with laborer's sledge hammer, the flag with blind-folded female for justice, the flag with Statue of Liberty which is being saluted by soldier, Cuban and Filipino, the Declaration of Independence, coins in silver and gold sized to "16 to 1" ratio and best of all in our opinion, the "Trusts" octopus with snake head at the end of each tenacle being attacked by female figure in flowing white gown wielding a hatchet whose large blade reads "Democracy." The specific trusts are "Standard Oil Trust, American Steel Trust, US Biscuit Co., American Tobacco Trust." Bottom center reads "Copyright 1900 by Neville Williams Columbus, Ohio." First we've offered. Numerous sales in excess of $5,000 are known.
