Item Description
Top two rows are 7/8" each with W&H backpaper. All are c. 1896-1898 unless noted o/w. Super clean group. Includes: Atherton Coaster Brake Club Member (c. 1915), Bellis Cycles, Corpin Brake (c. 1915), Fowler Bicycle (anti-Trust), Famous Fox Flyer (rare one), Imperial Wheels, L.A.W. Good Roads, L.A.W. From High Admiral Cigarette, Morrow Coaster Brake (c. 1916, two different), National Cycle Mfg. Co., Our Defender/Dodge Bicycle, Ray Cycle Seat, Rochester Bicycles (great color), Smith's Roller-Spring Seat Post. Last row contains: 1.25" Pierce Cycles with design inspired by Olympics, a classic with W&H backpaper, 1.75" tall brass shell pin has running pig on top bar while below are 3 bees and words "Union Cycles" on the side of a crock, 1.25" for c. 1898 Labor Day races, some fade of red color and pair of 1.75" buttons recently made (10-20 years ago) but utilizing authentic c. 1898-1899 button papers. These are known as "re-pins." We feel value equates to about one-third of Exc. example of an original. One is for 1899 Des Moines, IA "Grand Athletic Race Meet And Bicycle Carnival/Des Moines, IA, July 4th 1899." Second is for Fresno, Cal. bicycle dealer "Barton." Great design and we've never seen an original or this "re-pin." 19 of 20 are N. Mint to Mint. A group of Exc. quality, ideal for display.
