Item Description
20mm (13/16") brass frame holed as made. Listed as DeWitt/Sullivan AL1864-103. Brass bkg. has 32 stars with text along the left and right sides of the opening reading "Pat. Apr. 2. 1861." The reverse is identical although with depiction of "Johnson." Both ferrotypes are essentially flawless and exceptionally bright. The Lincoln side has Exc. luster while the luster on the Johnson side is essentially Mint. Several auction sales in excess of $2,500 are known. Also see the following matching McClellan ferro.
