Item Description
This piece is nearly 3" in dia. across the center. The piece is made of heavy brass with an outer edge of tiny semi-circles surrounding slightly raised lettering "Cleveland Democracy" and the engraved dates left and right "1884/1888." Surrounding the brass bust of Cleveland at center is a 1-1/8" circle of grayish-green fabric. The back of the piece has a 2.5" long bar pin and we believe a ribbon was once suspended from the lower bar. The pin has popped loose from its solder joint at the far right although this doesn't show and doesn't cause any problem as the piece is still attached firmly at the far left. Beautifully constructed and a very impressive piece. Rare.
