Item Description
6.75" across and 10" tall in high relief with depth of 2.5". This beautiful painted chalk portrait has a hollowed out reverse with horizontal stiff metal rod built in so it can be hung for display. Gorgeous airbrushed color accents to hair, mustache, eyebrows, ears and eyes. A couple tiny darker spots amidst the yellow of the hair and mustache show very little. A couple tiny paint chips professionally restored. c. late 1930s or 1940s and the only example we've seen. Extremely Fine and Rare. A great iconic advertising image. At first glance, this closely resembles a string holder.
