Item Description
7/8" with dark blue text above colorful poppy flower which also features green leaves all surrounding the Hoover photo. The design is perfectly centered and the colors are intense with high gloss surface. Complete with backpaper by A.G. Trimble of Pittsburgh. This was one of Trimble's very first campaign buttons and the firm later went on to originate the classic "I Like Ike" slogan appearing on so many items of the 1950s. This is among the rarest and most desirable Hoover buttons and carries a revised price of $2,300 in the Hake 2004 edition. A most reasonable opening bid. N. Mint, displaying Mint.
