Item Description
7/8" with W&H backpaper used only 1896-1898. Typically seen with text giving the W&H address in Newark with slogan "Here Comes De Parade Jus Look At Dem Badges." This one has similar text along bottom rim "Here Comes De Prosesh/Jus Watch Dem Elgin Bicycles" while the above text reads "Elgin Sewing Machine And Bicycle Co./Elgin, Ill." While the self-promoting W&H version is scarce, this version is rare and we've seen it perhaps once before long ago. N. Mint and displays Mint.
